Privacy Policy
Last updated 3 November 2026
Your lasting power of attorney involves sensitive personal information. This policy explains how we handle it and the rights you have.
Who is the data controller
The data controller is Richard Wood trading as LPASafe, part of WSC Group, of Bromborough, Wirral, CH63 0LE. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under reference ZC289878 (WSC Group). You can contact us about your data at richard@lpasafe.co.uk.
What we collect
To prepare your LPA we collect information about you and the people you name, including names, addresses, dates of birth, contact details, and the preferences and instructions you choose. We also collect the information needed to take payment and to contact you about your order.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your information to provide the service you have asked for (the lawful basis is performance of a contract), to take payment, and to meet our legal obligations. Because an LPA can touch on health and welfare, some of the information may be special category data, which we process only as necessary to provide the service you have requested and with your explicit consent where required.
Who we share it with
We share your information only where necessary to provide the service: with our payment processor to take payment, and with the hosting and email providers that run our systems. We do not sell your data or share it for marketing by others. We will disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep the information relating to your LPA for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, after which it is securely deleted. You can ask us to delete your data sooner where we are not required to keep it.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased where we have no ongoing need to keep it, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email richard@lpasafe.co.uk.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, though we would welcome the chance to put things right first.
